Hydrogen as an important component of the energy transition – this was the topic of an excursion in the Oberland region on March 22, 2024. The event took place as part of the EU-funded AMETHyST project, in which Energiewende Oberland is a project partner from Germany.
EWO had already organized a hydrogen summit in the Oberland in July 2023. The aim of the excursion was now to give hydrogen stakeholders in the Oberland region an insight into the practice.
Two locations, two innovative approaches
The excursion had two stops. In the morning, the participants visited the company White Energy in Irschenhausen. White Energy is testing hydrogen implementations through smart energy management at household and area level. After lunch together, the tour continued to the second stop, the company BlueFLUX in Peißenberg. BlueFLUX is researching various methods for producing hydrogen from biogenic waste materials.
Successful excursion with 40 participants
The topic of hydrogen and its applications remains a hot topic of discussion. 40 participants from various sectors took the opportunity to find out about the latest developments in the field of hydrogen technology and to get to know two innovative companies in practice.
