Description
From 19-31 August 2024, SATI is organising hiking workshops and film screenings of “Green Mountain Pioneers” in several countries across the Alps. All film screening events and day hiking workshops are free to attend. The aim is to have open and inspiring discussions between various stakeholders interested in sustainability topics in mountain regions.

The event on 27 August in Courmayeur will begin with an ice breaker introduction session at 9am. The group will then gather for a 5-hour climate hike workshop with a local geologist sharing insights into the impacts of climate change on the local region. SATI founder Sarisher Mann will lead a session on climate solutions and multi-stakeholder engagement during the 13km hike, which ascends 810m to a high alpine lake trail above Courmayeur. The group will then return back to HOBO Camping around 3pm in the afternoon. In the evening at 9pm, SATI will be hosting a film screening of the 30-minute documentary "Green Mountain Pioneers". The screening will be followed by a short Q&A with producer and SATI founder Sarisher Mann.
