TranStat Youth engagement: Slovenia

 What if you were the owner of a mountain resort in the Alps?  

A group of scouts (aged 12 to 25) participated in a Role-Playing Workshop focused on finding sustainable solutions for Alpine ski resorts. 

The workshop was organized as part of the TranStat project and prepared by project partners ZRC SAZU – Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts and Razvojna agencija Zgornje Gorenjske.

By stepping into the shoes of different stakeholders, they developed practical and innovative solutions that balanced the needs of the environment, local communities, and the tourism industry.

Participants worked together to solve real-world challenges such as warmer winters, overtourism, and balancing economic and environmental needs. A challenging and creative opportunity to think critically about the challenges of sustainable tourism in the Alps.
