European Week for Waste Reduction: CEFoodCycle Project Team Meets in Munich to Discuss Sustainable Food Waste Solutions

In November 2024, during the European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR), the project team of the Interreg Alpine Space initiative CEFoodCycle convened in Munich to advance discussions on raising awareness about sustainable resources and waste management in the food sector.

Project partners from Germany, Italy, France, Slovenia and Austria met to share updates on the development of an innovative tool designed to help reduce food waste. The meeting also covered plans for upcoming awareness-raising events and potential collaborations with pilot organisations. The CEFoodCycle project aims to promote effective strategies for food waste prevention across the Alpine region, enhancing sustainability and resource efficiency in local food systems.

The project continues to gain momentum as partners work together to create solutions that can be widely implemented across participating countries.
