🚶‍♂️🐏 From May 16 to 18, 2025, Malonno will host the AlpTextyles Community Festival 🐏

The event brings together tradition, innovation, and sustainability through textiles, crafts, and cultural heritage. The festival unfolds over three days, each dedicated to a key aspect of Alpine culture: education, dialogue, and community participation.

🔸 May 16 | Opening Day
The festival opens with the inauguration of Macìl – Center for Nomadism and Wool and the newly restored Palazzo Martinengo. Schools and local communities will take part in educational activities, exploring the artistic and didactic works created in dedicated workshops.

🔸 May 17 | Alpine Textiles Conversations
A day of international discussion on Alpine textiles, featuring thematic talks, knowledge exchanges, and the Alpine Textile Market, where artisans and producers showcase their work. The day will close with the arrival of the sheep, marking the transition to the next stage of the festival.

🔸 May 18 | Cultural Transhumance
A unique community walk alongside shepherds and their flock will trace the path toward Sonico, reviving an ancient tradition that blends movement, landscape, and storytelling. The festival will conclude with reflections and institutional greetings.

AlpTextyles Community Festival is an invitation to weave together past and future, culture, and sustainability, people and places—creating a living fabric of connections across the Alpine space.
