Interreg is fostering greening strategies in communication!
Together with other Interreg programmes we are featured in the newest edition of the European Commission's PANORAMA magazine on regional and urban policy. The article presents the programmes' efforts in making communication activities greener and more sustainable. Over 15 Interreg programmes were asked about their efforts in a survey launched in May 2020: the results showed that most have changed to increasing paperless communication and many are planning to organise fewer onsite events in the future.
Our Interreg Alpine Space programme is featured with providing full guidance on greening to co-financed projects and with the Joint Secretariat's internal "self-commitment declaration on reducing the carbon footprint of their professional activies".
