Climbing high, looking far

While enjoying the last days of summer, we are getting prepared for an eventful autumn ahead: the current programme is still at the peak of activities with new projects starting after decision of the programme committee in early October and twelve projects being finalised in the next two months. At the same time, the preparation of the Alpine Space programme 2021+ is entering a crucial phase.

But we are also looking beyond the Alpine Space: in the summer issue of the PANORAMA magazine you can read about the benefits of transnational cooperation featuring our project RockTheAlps. In the frame of the European Week of Regions and Cities we will discuss these benefits in a joint workshop with other Interreg programmes.

A lot is going on: stay tuned!

What is the impact of transnational cooperation in the Alpine Space?

Our impact evaluation is progressing full steam. Through a web-survey, interviews and case studies we are assessing the benefits brought by transnational cooperation to the regions involved in the programme. We will use this input to learn about our impact in the cooperation area, and design the future programme.

Projects from call 1 and 2 are mainly addressed, together with representatives from the macro-regional strategy EUSALP. We thank all the respondents having provided their feedback already and look forward to receiving further input.

The final evaluation report will be published on the programme website.

Interreg Alpine Space programme 2021+: What is the current state of play?

The task force 2021+ has met twice so far to steer the programming process for the next Interreg Alpine Space programme. Currently the contracted experts are assessing the needs of the programme area and developing a draft strategy on how to address these needs in the 2021-27 programme.

After its September and November meetings the task force will come up with a draft strategy that will be opened up for a stakeholder consultation round in the frame of the EUSALP Annual Forum on 28-29 November. More information will be available here in the coming weeks. Don`t miss the opportunity to have your say!
