The Macro-Regional and Sea Basin Strategies Days took place in Brussels from June 11 to 13, bringing together stakeholders from all over Europe. Members of different Youth Councils organised a plenary discussion on future challenges, in which the EUSALP Youth Council participated.
The EUSALP Youth Council talked about climate change and the transition of Alpine regions in response to global warming. The representatives of the Council took the opportunity to present the ambition of Transtat. TranStat is an Interreg Alpine Space project that aims to find solutions to the lack of snow in ski resorts and the long-term economic changes this entails.
The project involved a Youth Ambassador in a citizen consultation and information activity in the Saint Pierre de Chartreuse Living Lab of the project. Coordinated by the EUSALP Youth Council and Interreg Alpine Space, the Youth Ambassadors initiative allows young people to raise their voice in the implementation of Alpine Space projects. They act as ambassadors of the project during events, showing their commitment to building a resilient Alpine Space.
