The Alpine Space Programme and leading Alpine organisations are pleased to invite you to the
AlpWeek 2024
“Alps in our hands”
23-25 September 2024
Nova Gorica, Slovenia
Two decades after the first AlpWeek in Kranjska Gora/SI, come and join us to celebrate the AlpWeek 20th anniversary in Nova Gorica! There, we will look back on the diverse developments in the Alps over the last 20 years. Which initiatives and policies have been successful? What types of cooperation or projects can help to further strengthen sustainable development in the Alps? We will then explore the future and brainstorm on how to shape the next 20 years for the Alps. Because it is in our hands!
The programme spotlights the convergence of three key themes: biodiversity and ecosystems, climate action, and quality of life. Among others, you will learn about the limits of climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies, hear optimistic words about future biodiversity governance, and grasp how the Economy for the Common Good can contribute to measuring quality of life.
What will you experience during the AlpWeek 2024? You can look forward to interactive workshops to learn about challenges and possible solutions for sustainable development in the Alps. Join exciting excursions into the beautiful surroundings of Nova Gorica to find out about the region’s diverse heritage and how it lives on today. And take part to cultural events and creative activities with young people.
Secure your spot now in the various sessions and excursions!
