23rd-28th April 2023, Vienna (AT): MOSAIC was present at the EGU23 General Assembly, which welcomed 18,831 registered attendees, of which 15,453 made their way to Vienna from 107 countries and 3,378 joined online from 105 countries. It was a great success with 16,357 presentations given in 938 sessions. Our colleagues Matteo Garbarino and Raffaella Marzano along with Emanuele Lingua co-convened the session on natural disturbances and compound events entitled “Natural Disturbances in Forest Ecosystems: Managing Increasing Risk and Addressing Restoration Needs”. The session hosted both poster and oral presentations and was attended by more than 50 people. Oral and poster presentations by Nicolò Anselmetto, Giulia Mantero, Donato Morresi. In particular, Giulia Mantero gave a talk about the prioritization of post-fire intervention in the Bourra pilot site (Verrayes, AO, IT). Donato Morresi presented a poster about the detection of natural disturbances in the Alps. Nicolò Anselmetto had a poster on correlative species-distribution models at a fine scale.
