On Monday, January 20, 2025, at the ALPENOS headquarters in Predaia, the workshop “Local building ecosystem: challenges and opportunities for the green transition of the Alpine building sector” took place, organized as part of the European project Bauhalps Project.
The goal? Focusing on the challenges and opportunities for transitioning to sustainable and circular models in the Alpine building sector, actively involving local stakeholders in a participatory and future-oriented dialogue, also inspired by the New European Bauhaus.
A shared success: local businesses, research entities, and representatives from the local ecosystem contributed ideas and proposals to accelerate the shift toward more regenerative practices
The keynote speech by Carlo Battisti, President of Living Future Europe, outlined a clear and ambitious vision for regenerative construction sector
The workshop has been complemented by a “treasure hunt” through the Alpenos building, by exploring construction techniques and materials representative of the alpine “genius loci”.
