The topics of dealing with the bark beetle, prevention and monitoring measures were discussed during a one-day excursion together with local foresters. Points of discussion covered: the bark beetle disturbance in mountain forests; prioritization of resources and intervention in case of bark beetle outbreak; implications for protective effect and biodiversity in disturbed forests.
