The AdaptNow training programme for energy consultants to become Klimafit consultants was completed with an on-site visit to two private houses in Wolfurt and Schwarzach.
The consultants met in two groups at the various buildings and talked to the owners about potential damage caused by extreme weather events and how this could be prevented. The prepared checklists were used and tested for the first time. Afterwards, both groups exchanged ideas in the garden of the house in Wolfurt over drinks and snacks. The counselling service will be available to the general public from February and is already being advertised online: Klimafit-Gebäudeberatung — Energieinstitut Vorarlberg.
From 21 to 23 February, the consultancy will be presented at ComBau with a focus on “Climate-Fit Building”. This year’s motto of the trade fair is “Ready for change”, offering the construction industry a future-orientated platform. Around 10000 visitors from Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Liechtenstein are expected to attend.
