📢 Community call for historic photographs of traditional dressing in the Škofja Loka area!
🧵 As part of the AlpTextyles project, the Arts and Crafts Centre Škofja Loka, together with Razvojna agencija Sora and ZRC SAZU – Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts, is building a photo archive to safeguard the textile heritage of the region.
📸 Photo stories of Alpine textile heritage
Bring us your family and personal photos of traditional attire in the Ĺ kofja Loka area across generations and share the stories behind them! We are looking to collect visual materials to digitize and make them accessible to those interested in clothing heritage and contemporary clothing production.
🌿 Based on sustainable values that we should revive to ensure the future of the textile industry, time-honored clothesmaking can be a new inspiration for young and contemporary designers. The archive will be published and publicly available on Europeana’s global platform at europeana.eu
đź“Ś Visit us Monday to Friday, 10 am – 6 pm, at the Arts and Crafts Centre Ĺ kofja Loka to share your photographs. Together, we will record the necessary information, including ownership, date, and the story it tells, digitize the photo, and return it to you!
