ASTER is an Alpine Space projet that aims at reducing and better managing textile and plastic waste generated by outdoor activities in the Alps by testing circular solutions.
🎯 ASTER Project Objectives
➡ Better understand: analyze the geographic, legal, and technical frameworks related to textile and plastic waste in the Alps.
➡ Test solutions: experiment with 5R approaches tailored to mountain-specific products.
➡ Act concretely: propose actionable levers to establish circular and resource-efficient value chains through public policy in the Alpine region.
📌 Discussion highlights
➡Progress on the mapping of 5R resources (Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Recycle, Remanufacture) across the Alpine area
➡Analysis of regulations and public policies concerning polymer circularity for outdoor use
➡Coordination of upcoming project milestones
