🛎 October 20th, Festa de lo Pan Ner, Monno (IT)
🥖 This year, AlpTextyles through Ca’Mon and Regione Lombardia is glad to participate in the Festa de lo Pan Ner with another community in Monno. In this special area, we have been investing greatly through several pilots, including our first Transumanza Culturale in May and hashtag Textile Summer School in September.
🐑 Next Sunday, Alpine Breads and Threads will be an opportunity to rediscover the local cultural heritage and uncover the ancient traditions of bread-making and textile craftsmanship in Monno.
🏔 The afternoon will start with the opening of the Alpine Icon Textile Summer School exhibition, Rediscovering Mountain Threads, showcasing the students’ final handiwork inspired by the main theme of the first edition, Alpine Icon.
🏡 Then, we will be rye threshing and cleaning according to tradition at the Pietroboni house tabiàt (traditional Alpine barn), which will echo the sound of this ancient, practical-poetic gesture like a sound box. The event will continue with a first batch of bread and a conversation about its importance in telling our stories — the place we decide to live, the local sustainable economy, and the community we shape.
