The Chamber of Commerce and Industry Nice Côte d’Azur (CCI NCA) is part of the ALPHA project partnership, a transnational initiative aimed at promoting energy efficiency and advancing 5th-Generation District Heating and Cooling (5GDHC) networks across the Alpine Space. As a leading business support organization, CCI NCA contributes its expertise in project management, stakeholder engagement, and tool development to ensure the successful roll-out of ALPHA’s objectives.
CCI NCA is leading the development of customized planning and decarbonisation benchmarking tools (Task 1.4). This process involves creating methodologies, analyzing existing national tools, and conducting benchmarking studies to identify best practices. Through structured questionnaires and a collaborative workshop, CCI NCA gathers valuable feedback from partners and stakeholders to enhance the tools with new functionalities, making them more practical and effective for stakeholders involved in the decarbonization of the Heating and Cooling (H&C) sector.
CCI NCA also leads Work Package 3 (WP3), focusing on Capitalisation, Replication, and Sustainability. The primary objective of WP3 is to ensure the widespread replication and adoption of ALPHA’s outputs across the Alpine region by enhancing knowledge transfer, promoting capacity-building activities, and developing innovative financing mechanisms. CCI NCA is particularly responsible for creating a comprehensive Transalpine Financing Guide under Task 3.2, which aims to unlock untapped opportunities for sector coupling and support the growth of SMEs within the H&C sector value chains. The expected outputs include a Replication Toolbox with policy resources, financing mechanisms, a coordination helpdesk, and an online platform for capacity-building resources.
CCI NCA actively collaborates with a broad network of public authorities, SMEs, and interest groups. Its efforts are dedicated to encouraging participation, fostering synergies, and ensuring that project outputs are adapted to real-world needs.
As part of its work in the territory, CCI NCA coordinates the Club Énergie Côte d’Azur, a collaborative initiative involving over 150 public and private energy stakeholders. This network includes major players such as energy suppliers, energy network managers, regional energy associations, academics and firms, all of which contribute to promoting dialogue and innovation around renewable energy, hydrogen, sustainable mobility, and energy efficiency. CCI NCA leverages this network to enhance knowledge-sharing and facilitate the adoption of ALPHA’s outputs.
