“The Living Textile Heritage of the Alps” was a great occasion to present our partners’ first year of findings, visions, and inspirations on the Alpine textile value chains, sharing knowledge with many guests and experts.
Our day in Lyon began with exploring the mappings of the cultural and aesthetic heritage of the Alps. In the afternoon, we discussed the perspectives opened by wool and the other fibers “Made in the Alps,” analyzing the symbolic value of the Alpine imagery and consumer’s perceptions of local products. The “living exhibition” retraced the partners’ work through a visual path, prompting imagination and creative thinking. The common thread of our journey was circularity, to move toward a concrete, sustainable future for the textile industry.
Thanks to all the people who contributed to spreading awareness about the unique beauty, resilience, and value of the textile ecosystem in the Alps.
