Apr 22, 2025

The French-Slovenian Business and Innovation Days, held on April 8-9, 2025, in Slovenia, marked a significant step in strengthening bilateral cooperation between France and Slovenia, particularly in advanced technologies.

The event highlighted cooperation on artificial intelligence and its applications in sectors like energy, defense, space, and smart cities. Discussions centered on ethical AI, innovation ecosystems, and potential collaborations between French and Slovenian companies, research institutions, and public bodies. Experts emphasized the importance of trustworthy AI, talent development, and joint R&D initiatives.

During the event, two major hydrogen projects from the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region were presented:

  • AMETHyST: Coordinated by AURA-EE, this Interreg Alpine Space project aims to support local actors in deploying green hydrogen solutions, particularly in Alpine tourist areas. It focuses on building a shared hydrogen culture across Alpine regions and facilitating the emergence of interconnected hydrogen valleys. The project is supported by European funding and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region.
  • IMAGHyNE: Led by the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region, this large-scale initiative received €20 million in funding from the Clean Hydrogen Partnership under the “Large-Scale Hydrogen Valley” call for projects. Spanning six years (2024–2029), IMAGHyNE brings together over 40 partners from six European countries to develop a comprehensive hydrogen economy, encompassing production, storage, distribution, and usage across various sectors.
