Overview
People - not just policies - determine the success of sustainability transitions. This is where HumanFactor comes in.
We empower Alpine communities to actively shape transformation and put a spotlight on the "human factor" in decision making and implementation activities.
HumanFactor is about bridging the implementation gaps, through knowledge building, networking, and hands-on support. Our cross-border approach harnesses the collective intelligence of the Alpine region and enables mutual learning across boundaries to turn local actors into sustainability pioneers.

Outcomes
-
Organisations that participate in training activities
4 organizations participate in training and receive the HumanFactor Skillbox to better consider the human factor in their activities. -
Skillbox used as joint guidance
The co-developed and tested tools are integrated in a “skillbox”, with which the project provides a joint toolbox and guidance on how to better consider the human factor in Alpine activities. The skillbox will be transferrable beyond the project and can serve all multipliers and organisations involved in relevant activities, e.g. in the context of EUSALP, the AC, the TA2030, etc. -
Community of practice
A CoP is established, enabling at least 80 multipliers to continue their exchange and collaboration through peer-to-peer learning formats, fostering knowledge sharing, and the application of innovative participatory methods in real-world sustainability initiatives. This “hands-on” approach ensures the long-lasting take-up of new methods. -
Expert pool
An expert pool is developed to provide ongoing support and mentoring for the CoP, ensuring its sustainability and impact beyond the project's duration. The pool's expertise will guide multipliers in applying innovative participatory methods and fostering sustainability transitions in the Alpine region. Through the established working links, the expert pool will remain effective beyond the project. -
Pilot actions for validating insights from the Community of Practice in the frame of real world case studies
Overall, the experience of the case studies implemented by the Community of Practice provide a pilot action for validating insights from and bringing into life the Community of Practice. The case studies will apply materials from the skillbox and provide insights into support needs that can be provided by the export pool and further guidance
